Italian-Palestinian haute couture designer, with an atelier in Rome. In his work, Italian tailoring meets the culture he comes from: two traditions that in his pieces don't quote one another, they merge.
His role in the project
Jamal signs some pieces himself and mentors the young designers of the programme — An-Najah National University in Nablus and Sapienza University of Rome: he selects them, follows them from the first sketch to production and opens his Rome atelier to them. The signature on the pieces, though, stays theirs.
